some pictures

As most of you know they pump women FULL of fluids when they go into have a baby. Normally I do not have an IV since I do natural deliveries and as you can see by my face I do not like all the added water weight. They gave me so many fluids that when I left the hospital the next day I had not lost any weight from having the baby. I have since lost the water weight but it makes for some crazy first few pictures. Anyway I thought the girls were so cute that I had to share.

SOOO CUTE! For a woman who just had a baby you look great. I love Sariah's expression in the first picture. Very cute family picture. Capri is so tan! (JK!!). 3 girls! Crazy. Well, guess I need one more boy to even it out. Think we can handle 3 weddings together! LOL!

Interesting. I never had any fluids pumped into me with either of my hospital births. What was the reason?

What a cute first family photo. It's always the best when the other kids see baby for the first time.

They told me in the past that they do fluids because they want to make sure women do not get dehydrated. With Sariah I just said no but this time I tested positive with group B strep. So they had to do an IV and they do fluids with the antibiotics. Then after labor they had to do 2 1/2 bags of pitocin since my uterus was having a hard time contracting. Needless to say it made me very very puffy! No matter how hard you push, hospital births can only be so natural.

Agreed.

I swell up and always look huge too. True that with the natural birth. It just doesn't always work for everyone either (I know, I tried twice). It's just not for everyone and you can only do as much as ends up being healthy and safe for you and the baby. The most important thing is that you and baby are healthy and safe. Capri looks beautiful. Hope you recover soon.
