something cute

Kids really say such cute things. Last night Myla was so cute I thought I would share.

Our family was gathered together to say family prayers and Kirk and Dillon were playing around. Then Myla said, " Can we hurry up and pray so I can feel better"? (There has been something good Myla has learned from all of her Kidney problems. Myla has really gained a testimony of the power of prayer)

We normally read scriptures in the morning so I thought what Myla said later when I was putting her to bed was so funny. I tucked her in bed and as I was leaving the room she said, " Mom, I really need to read scriptures by myself tonight". I asked her if she wanted me to get her Book of Mormon Reader and she said yes. When I went in to check on her before I went to bed she had fallen asleep reading her scriptures. So sweet. I love this little girl. She make me laugh everyday!

Four already??

Today Myla turned four! I know it is crazy to say but today was a happy/sad day for me. Myla is growing up way to fast. I just wish I could keep her my little girl forever.

Today was all about Myla. We took the "train" aka light rail to downtown Sacramento where we went to The Princess and the Frog movie. It was really a fun day and Myla loved being the special girl all day.
Kirk, Paige and Dillon playing a game of who could not fall first without holding on. Needless to say Myla, Sariah and myself watched.

Myla just relapsed on Sunday even though she was still on steroids for her last relapse. So she was hurting all day but you would never know it. She is such a strong little girl.
We came home and did family presents. We are having her Birthday party at my moms house on Friday so we just did a little family thing tonight.

Myla really wants to be a ballerina and so we got her some real ballerina slippers and my mom will be paying for her to do dance lessons. Shhh Myla does not know until Friday.
I love this picture of how excited she is when she opened them.

I am so in love with this little girl. She makes me laugh every day. I pray that her kidneys will start working on their own so we can take her off of all the drugs. She has been on steroids for the past five months with only two weeks off. If this round does not work they will have to start using different drugs with more side effects. I really do not want to go that route but we will have to if she does not go into remission and stay in it for longer.

Our Christmas Eve gift

We got a surprise call from Kirk's sister saying that her son was in town for work and wanted to come visit for Christmas. Kirk's nephew Cory is in a band, and man can he play. He has a very unique voice and such a great talent. He came Christmas Eve and we stayed up until almost 2 am listening to him give us our own concert. I was in heaven. I was so tired and knew that I had a early day ahead of me but I could not bring myself to go to bed. The way he plays the guitar was so beautiful. He writes his own songs and I love how each one has its own meaning but the meanings are a little hidden. He will be cutting his fifth CD when he goes back home and I will be the first one in line to get it!!!! Not a great picture but you get the idea right??? Check out some of his music on my blog.

Great documentary!

What a great film! My brother-in-law, Chris told us about this movie before it came out and said that we had to see it. I agree, even my kids learned a lot and really enjoyed it. This is what the web said about it.

"Food, Inc. lifts the veil on our nation's food industry, exposing how our nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of corporations that often put ahead of consumer health, the livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers and our own environment. Food, Inc. reveals surprising – and often shocking truths – about what we eat, how it's produced and who we have become as a nation"

I really is a good look at what we eat and when they say farmers what they really mean. I could not believe how some of the animals are treated and even the people that help bring food to our table. If you get a chance to see it, it is well worth the time!

And it is......

Today was the big day... an ultrasound of our little one. I really wanted to wait to find out what we were having. I thought it would be fun to find out the "old fashion" way but my hubby really wanted to find out and since I love him so much, away we went.

As Kirk says I am 0 for 3. So yes we are having a little girl. No big surprise there but I am really excited to have another girl. My mom had three girls so I am just following her path.

We feel really blessed to have a new little one and can not wait to meet her.
